Why I bought a Rangie!

Check out the pictures of my exTT vs a Kangaroo at about 90km/h. Apart from the air con gas leaking out, the car was still driveable. The Kangaroo was not so lucky! About $12,000 in repairs. RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof

My cousin is here from Oz right now, picked him up from Watford right now, and when doing brisk speeds back up the M40 just now, at near to sunrise (had a lot of stops to make with family etc in watford), my cousin was telling me all about wild kangaroos jumping out in front of cars etc especially in terrain and times like what we were driving in! sounds scary, apparently there was a case recently, where the kangaroo remained alive and kicked the occupants to death whilst lying on the bonnet of the car...

Hmm.. nasty.. prefer hitting rabbits/cats myself, which is all of what we'd get here, think the worst case scenario would be a deer, but not as common as kangaroo incidents from what im told..

No wonder SUV's are so popular, do you have bull bars too?

The Roo's are not to bad around my State, but they are the most dangerous at dusk and dawn when you are driving as they feed on the nice green grass that grows next to the road. Saying that, I have been going up to the country for 4 years now and the first one I saw was the one I hit Rolling Eyes Contrary to popular belief, roo's don't hop down the main streets in city's Wink

Yeh, lots of people put bull or roo bars etc on their cars to minimise damage. We also have devices that you can attach to the car that emits a noise which is supposed to deter the roo's. Safest thing to do is be at the pub by time sunset comes around! Laughing RRS TDV6 Bluetooth, VR, Roof
