Wales 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Age Group

Hi All,
Just wondering what is the average age group of RRS buyers, and what is the main purpose they are purchased, luxury, towing, 4x4 capability. and what is the most polar colour combo and why.

Just out of interest really as there seems to be a lot of people (over 30) who purchase the car, however on launch I understood it was aimed at the "younger market" Java Black 2007 TDV8 HSE (my first RRS)

Selling drugs need to look the part. Rolling with laughter joke aside luxury, comfort good brand and excellent build quality along with looks can't see any other manufacturer beating the Range Rover SUV.
Just turned 40 and mine is Santorini Black with cream Autobiography leather.

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Think you will find a pretty wide spread in answer to your question.

Was 33 when I got mine 18 months ago, bought it to replace a 2005 X5 3.0D and use it for towing. Wanted something that gave me the same performance as the BM so had to get the TDV8. Love the drive, comfort and grunt - even with the boat on the back you don't really feel it causing an issue.

Also swallows all the shoes my wife can throw at it which is a bonus, terrified what will happen if we ever have kids, no idea where they will sit!! TDV8 Java Black, Overfinch 22s

Wales 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I thought this thread maybe an all around interesting thread to everyone, of age and why, as these RRS have many uses, not so many people take them real off roading I would have thought

As I started the topic I should say why I got mine.

I've always wanted the sport, but could never justify the £50K price tag on whats an every day car, mine is 07 and still £20K its not really an entry car price not even these days, mine is Java Black with black leather TDV8. I'm 42 and work hard so thought now was the time. Its kept in UK even though I don't live there, but use it on my return and a European trip I have planned. Java Black 2007 TDV8 HSE (my first RRS)

United States 2013 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Lux Fuji White

Was 36 when I bought my first new Range Rover (County Classic) in '95. I bought it because I was moving to Hawaii and wanted to go off-roading there; once we moved back to the mainland US, we did a lot of off-roading and snow trips as well as commuting. Kept the ole girl until 2013 and sold her to the girlfriend of a Land Rover mechanic.

I bought the 2013 RRS new at the ripe old age of 54. I bought it simply because I wanted a RR and could afford it. At this point, I can't imagine not having a RR to drive. 2013 RRS HSE Lux, Fuji White w/Silver Pkg, 5.0 V8

Wales 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

SRE,
That is a LADA Niva, my wife is from a farm in a village way down in South West Ukraine, and its her fathers car, goes just about anywhere and it gets loaded up with all kind of things. The other pics are from the Pajero we keep in Odessa to run back and for from our bolt hole in Odessa, we visit there maybe 3-4 times a year. Stuart who I got my 19" wheels from has driven to Russia in a UK registered car as I plan to in November, it was just a chat about roads, and really how bad they are. I don't live in Ukraine, I live in Cyprus but I'm from Wales, and thats where the RRS is. We have an office in Ukraine so we visit every 6-8 weeks for work related trips, not just we have a car there for use 3-4 times a year.

Here is the pajero and my RRS

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Lux Orkney Grey

Bought my first RR aged 30 (it was 2years old and I paid £1,500!), had at least one since, 9 in total, I'm now 68 and see my father looking at me every dam morning when I shave!

Why - because they were good fun around the moors, plus towing boats and car trailers.

Most have been very reliable (Full Fats) but the most recent ones (Sports) have given the most agro which is making me question whether there will be 10th

Anyone other old farts out there beat that?

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Tonga Green

33 and about to pick up my 1st! Ive been told im a 10 bob millionaire, because I make my money go far! Currently drive a BMW 530d SE. Got myself in huge financial stupidity when I was younger, vast amounts of money spent on Booze, drugs and girls, and im now "just" debt free after 10 years!

Ive chosen it as I now live up in the hills, and as I experienced a few years ago my BMW does not like snow!! So I HAD to get a 4x4, and it HAD to be a RRS! Plus ive got 2 kids, so the room is superb!

For the money you can get soooooooooo much car. Im only spending £12,600, and im getting a £40-50k+ car thats 8 years old, all singing all dancing, Ivory Leather and a head turner..... And by Sunday il have tinted windows, 2012 headlight conversion and 2012 rear tail-lights.... £13k all in.....

or I could go buy a brand new Corsa...... Hmmmmmm......!!! 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)

Looks like 33 is the age to get one, thats when I got mine too.

I got it because I've wanted one for years, I had the cash available so I did it, I have absolutely no need for it but I do enjoy driving around in it.
