I use a bottle jack as a) the car is too heavy for a wind up and they aren't stable, and b) towing a caravan and needing a just in case as LR jack won't locate in chassis. One joy is that Fullfat has huge under floor area to store it. Mine came out of a scrapped Mitsubishi L200 and lifts 2ft even though less than 12" in height. It used to have to sit under back seats in Sport. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

If you have a look over on the Disco 3 sister website you'll find the boys over there have discovered the bottle jack from a Mercedes Sprinter van is ideal and can be easily modified so the top of the jack fits neatly into the locating hole for the jack in the chassis rail. There was a guy selling brand new ones on ebay and may still have some stock.
