Something like the Gtechniq product andman is having applied is a far superior product, as npinks points out, not only will it protect the car for a far longer period than a wax, it will also offer protection to mild scratching a marring to the paintwork. We're also talking about a paintwork correction here. This bumps the cost up considerably.

Ultimately, some feel this is worth it, some don't. There's been such an advancement in products over the last couple of years that I think they are worth the investment if you really want to protect your cars paint, but it all comes down to cost.

Slightly off topic, but the latest thing I've seen that could be a game changer is self healing protection film.....

To look after a car properly snow foam should be used every wash, it's not something thats an occasional treat.

You are either into detailing or you aren't. Whichever you are happy with is fine.

Andyjay123, this product costs under £100 so I would buy a bottle and do it myself. I see where you're coming from re: relative costs. But at the end of the day we're all different and I respect andman for wanting to take care of his car  Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

As I mentioned , the car really was grubby on delivery....

If the car is mint from day one you stand a better chance of staying on top of it... at a price of course.

The paintwork should still look like brand new in 5 years time with a little care ...

and there is no need to wax anymore.. It will also stay cleaner longer between washes and should bead wickedly..

A snow foam... two bucket wash, MF pat down and some QD is all it should take....

Frankly , there is nothing like this over in Spain so it's now or never...

I wouldn't personally ,wouldn't risk applying this CS myself....it is hardcore stuff...

If you get it wrong... it will cost a fortune to correct...

Hardly the same thing though is it???

There is a big difference in quality of products used and the man hours spent to get a car looking this good, comparing it to a standard velet/detail is just ridiculous


Looks a top job to me and well worth the money after spending that much on a car to make sure it stays in this condition

I collected it yesterday and I am gobsmacked at how good it looks....

My RRS is now the best and cleanest it can possibly look, and protected with the hardest wearing sealant

Available on the Market , to help it stay that way.... All I just have to do is a maintain it....

I will be updating at my first wash on how easy the process is ...

and update through the months and time I own it on durability...and longevity...

A huge thanks to Michael ... Who did an amazing job !
