Hi Jim yeh that's fair enough , the article just confirms about the gap with a pic of my car and the gap oh and me as well ,jlr have confirmed both to what car and myself that they are working on a solution I don't expect a quick fix but as long as it's being sorted then ime cool ( unlike you in the desert heat ) with that 2014/5 rr sport hse, Marianna black , silver roof , silver door mirror caps , privacy , deployable tow bar

Nice one Rob! (Much more impressive than my Auto Express write-up!). Still, every little helps as they say...

Seems as though we're all still pretty much hearing nothing about this from JLR though..... A mate of mine who's involved with the motor manufacturing business reckons they might even have to write off all the cars with the issue (which is all of them) as the cost of the repair will be so big! Seems a tad OTT to me......

Have now contacted Honest John regarding this.

The way JLR have handled this is simply atrocious. Re-read my letter from them the other day; still can't quite believe that it says things like "design intent..." and "some customers don't seem to like the cosmetic design..."
