Taxing A Vehicle After 30/10/14

Useful information.

This link might be useful to put in your mobile phone or in your favorites on your computer for when you what to tax your car or a new car that you have just bought.

https://www.gov.uk/tax-disc

Reading between the lines, Ref car dealers, Car dealers MUST either use trade plates, as previously or tax the car to take a customer out on a test drive. If you buy the car after the test drive, you then have to tax the car yourself before driving it away. Dealer has to then cash in the tax disc he has just bought and loose a months tax. The DVLA are going to make a right profit as the new owner has to tax it from the beginning of the month

its a total scam, how we still have the ved system ill never know, just put fuel up 5-10ppl and the eco and non eco cars will pay there way, its also fairer in that the people who buy a £20 a year tax car then proceed to do 70k a year miles pay more and you can have a supercharged weekend toy. or break ved down to daily/weekly instead of this monthly thing
