whistle on accleration

Hi There
I have just bought a 2005 rrs and have noticed that on acceleration there is a whistle noise which seems to come and go mainly noted on acceleration. Any ideas as to what this maybe?

Hi, how loud is it? Very slight might be OK - my TDV8 has always had a slight whistle. It can be a leak somewhere around the intercooler pipes or even on the charging side of the turbo. If it is loud it could be indicative of failing turbo bearings causing the turbo fan blades to touch the housing. You would only hear that on boost I think. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

check all air pipes are tight.
i had a loose pipe after the airfilter had been changed and it was sucking in there under boost
