I purchased my £35k car and after 2 weeks the police took it away but left me with the paperwork.

I think it's not worth going down to the house. If this scam is done with the household and family members, I guess it's a big group of them and it's well organised. Serioously I never thought this could happen to me, especially he made it such a scene, with the house, family photos, and kids etc.
