Should I? RRS TDV8..

Hello.
I am considering trading in my bmw 7 series for a "new" 4x4, either a bmw x5 (35d or 4,8i) or a 2008 range rover sport TDV8.
I have gotten a quote for one. it is a one owner, full service history, 125000 km, has a nice color, 2 year warranty and looks like this:

I read something before on a norwegian forum that these engines were really cultivated and good. But then I did a quick search on here that revealed turbo problems and engine failures.
What is the cold hard truth about these beasts?

It is a quite expensive car, and all problems could come while still under warranty, but then again they might not..

Any thoughts?

Get one.

Make sure it's got full history with regular oil changes.

There are always horror story's on forums but plenty of people who don't visit forums who are happy.

Well there´s photos of the service book in the add. But what is an A,B or C service?

At 25473km it had an A service + oil service
At 48384km it had a service, but not ticking any boxes.
At 70900km it had an A service with brake fluid
At 83261 it had an oil service
At 95559 it had a B service
At 108700km it had an oil service
At 120000km it had an A service.

Does this look good? Is oil service included in A service (or is it due for an oil service?)

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Stay away from the 4.8 X5. The 4.8 has some issues which could be expensive to fix. The diesels are very good. The RRS would be good in Norway, hopefully it has all the cold weather gear! Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

How about the service history? Any thoughts?

It has been driven on salted winter roads since new. Anything to worry about?

Does these (rrs) rust a lot or are they generally okay?

Another option could be to keep the bee emm, and get a 2005 RR vouge TD6. There is a nice one for sale with a new gearbox, and 150t km.

a TD6 Full fat will feel totally lethargic even next to a 2.7 TDv6 Sport, and basically comatose compared

My TDV8 RRS is the best car I have ever owned. I still have a tingle of anticipation that the turbo's will self implode and take the engine out but after 6 months trouble free motoring this is becoming less and less each day. The ride, the comfort, the smoothness and the power all add up to a fantastic package. If I did less miles I would consider a petrol version and if I had more money I would be aiming at an SDV6 but for now, I am more than happy. In fact, I'm going out for a spin this afternoon, just decided!

Holy s#**. Got some pictures of it, and it has some damages to the leather inside and its quite rusty underneath. The seller calls it surface rust, and says it will be taken care of. Not sure what to think.

Lol wtf is surface rust? Regards the interior it's easy to clip on replacement parts inside like fascias and panels. Ebay is handy.

Buy it and don't look back. But why rust?
