Depends what hose has split, or if it is the cooler

I had that- big split on the inter cooler.

^^ Yup, recently had a pipe replaced on FFRR TDV8, as soon as it was replaced, no more black smoke.......and better fuel economy too  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

yup me too black smoke and it was the turbo hose, very astounded at the price as its a huge hose with what can be described as a pair of socks attached to it. £42 all in

fitted and smoke gone

Please can someone help explain where I can find this hose to check? Am struggling to identify much haha!

Here is what I'm looking at.
If anyone can help me locate by pointing out something that's blatant for me to spot that would help me lots!!

It's the hose just below the oil filler cap in the picture, the one that bends immediately down to the bottom end of the car. Mine had this problem last year

Mine split right on the bend pal! The previous owner didn't have a clue and that's why he was selling it! I ended up with £1500 off the car because I made out it could be a number of things! I saw the split as I was looking around the car, cost me about £60 fitted ))))

i do have some black smoke under harsh accelerating and my fuel economy is shocking.
