I said a quick hello to everyone few weeks ago when I started looking through this forum. The knowledge I have acquired about RRS (being a newby) over the weeks has been great, thanks to every member of this forum.

Now I need your help. My wife has seen a 2011-12 standard HSE (8 speed) model that she wants me to buy for her as wedding anniversary gift . And she thinks the price (£38k) is right for this car having had 45k on the mileage already.

Question then is what would you pay for a sport of this age and mileage with the standard kits (nothing premium)?

Seems a tad expensive to me, I sold my 2012 HSE two months ago for the same money but it only had 20k miles, I would think you could source one for similar money with less mileage  2019 BMW X3 2.0i M Sport in metalic black- Brilliant
2014 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Atlantic Grey, replaced with 2018 Frost White Outlander PHEV, can't fault em - now gone
2012 SDV6 HSE in Orkney Grey, Privacy Glass & Side Steps (notice a theme)! - Even better but now gone
2009 TDV6 HSE in Stornoway Grey, 20" alloys, Privacy Glass & Side Steps - Fantastic! but gone

If its 12MY then I think the only real issue is the mileage - I suppose if its from a dealer then it's not a bad price

Just for info i bought my 2012 RRS with 30k miles back in January for £40k from a LR dealer, and my RRS also has a few optional extras including A/B bodykit.

So i think the one you are looking at is slightly overpriced 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography

2012 RRS SDV6 HSE -Orkney Grey with A/B bodykit - Now Gone
2007 RRS TDV6 HSE - Zermatt Silver - Gone

Thank you guys, in case you want to check this car out, it is the only Buckingham blue-coloured RRS in Harwoods Pulborough and the dealer in now looking for £36k for this 47k mileage car.

I suspect we might be able to haggle it down to £35k. Is this still a fair price?

Still seems a little on the expensive side. Check Autotrader to compare prices on similar spec. cars. MY 09TDV8

my 2011 hse lux 13k miles i sold in august for 39k.
4k more than one dealer (px) and 1.5k more than my normal dealer (px) that i use.

Thank you David. The cheapest 8 speed auto 2011-12 RRS you will find on Autotrader is £34k @54k-65k mileage.

I still believe its a good price - it does have the exterior body kit worth £1k - £1.5k on top of the standard model - still cant tell if its 12MY - if its the exact Sport in the picture it has signs of 2011 MY - grey vents & grills this then does seem to be a little expensive but - All used LR come with 12 months warranty & roadside assistance

Exactly why I am seeking guidance from the great people in this forum. Thank you Peachy, I am a little confused right now. It's a 61-reg but checked the VIN and it is Sept 11 make but 2012 model on Topix. What is the key difference between 2011 8 speed auto and it's 2012 counterpart in terms of exteriors?

Tailgate-powered one piece, exactly what this says Peachy. Defo 2012 model.

Cant argue with that price IMO - mileage is a little high but like I said 12 months warranty etc - seems decent enough to me
