The leading edge of the bonnet on my car has a myriad of white dots on it. These are where the paint has chipped off, short of getting it repainted, is there anything I can put on the leading edge to stop this happening?

I used to have a nose cover on my VW Tourag which worked great, sorry it was on the car when I purchased it so no idea where to go for one.
It was clear plastic, there are some vinyl type ones which are hideous and I think they call them Car Bra

My work colleague reckons I ought to get the bonnet wrapped in matt carbon black! Mmm...however, I've seen a clear plastic wrap somewhere, so at least it'll be the same colour as the rest of the car!

I have used Ventureshield on several bikes of mine over the years for the sole purpose of protection from stone chips, and it works.............. Admittedly over time the shield gets damaged, but that to me is the whole point of it.

Mines the same , just been quoted £250 for respray  TDV8 2007 window tints, side steps.

You can try these wonder products that add the UV coating seal layer over the paint again, its a touch up pen, might work on these as a deep scratch. 

This is a good solution to the chips before the expense of a respray...easy to do as well

Don't tailgate the car in front  2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱

£250 is a good price - these bonnets are aluminium & preparation is a bitch - if It isn't done right the paint will show defects eventually  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
