hi there im new to this site and really hope someone can help with my problem

i purchased a 06 range rover sport in may this year everything was fine and i really love the car first 4x4 ive owned well apart from a evo7!!

my problem started a month ago

ive started getting a really bad wobble through the steering wheel when applying the brakes over 50mph

Ive changed the discs and pads all round as this was my first thought and the most obvious still no change, I also greased all caliper pins and checked the calpiers in general

I then changed both wheel bearings no change

Had all 4 wheels balanced no change

Replaced anti roll/sway bar bushes no change

Replaced both front drop link bars still no change!!

Replaced top and bottom ball joints on both sides of front and still no change

Im really stuck as to what the problem could be,i know the symptoms point to something wrong with the brakes but like i say they have been changed all round with new brembo discs and mintex pads

Maybe someone on here has experienced this problem or seen a thread before

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as im getting really p***ed off with it because i really do love the car but its just getting me down driving it now with this problem

More questions than answers but with a reason
Does the vibration get less as speed diminishes, if you getting vibration, does the pedal bounce?
Are the discs genuine?
Have you got a mate with an engineering shop who can lend you Magnetic dti?
You are going to have to established if your discs are warped by this method. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

your tiers may have gone out of shape try swapping the back with the front ones

Mark I've swapped the wheels from front to back

Simple1 - the wobble/vibration isn't there at low speeds but I don't get anything through the peddle even at high speeds
What is this tool you ask if I can get hold of my uncle owns a garage so maybe he has one

well it looks like the only thing you've not touched is the steering but i wouldn't know how to test it sorry

I was thinking this mark maybe the steering dampner and bushes next

Dial test indicator. Measures deformity in discs. It's not going to be steering rack or mountings, would do it all the time, hence asking about speed and pedal bounce. No bounce rules out discs, so as you have replaced bushes and ball joints you need to start looking at drive items. If you haven't replaced the arm bushes start there first as moving arms will cause the geometry to change when loaded under braking 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Yes, they mount the arms to chassis 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Easy way to check these is to get someone to sit in car with foot brake applied and try and pull away while watching wheels. If they move back in arch bushes are shagged. In extreme cases, wheels will have back and forth play (front to back) while jacked up  2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Simple1 I took your advice and changed all lower arm bushes and still there!!!!
The car feels a lot tighter now with the ball joints all done and bushes but the wobble is still there. The wife won't even drive it any more because of it. Any more advice boys?

If you have checked run out on the discs as Simple1 has said and it's within tolerances then I would be looking at the calipers. The other thing it could be is brake transfer but if you have put on new discs and bedded them in it is unlikely.
