Netherlands 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue
want to connect my iPhone, but to what?

Hi there to you all !

I recently bought a range rover sport (2006), super happy, but that V8 makes such a beautiful sound that phonecalls by telephonespeaker is impractical ....

My question is how can I start using the car phonebuttons!? The steering wheel is sadly without the green and red phone button. I've tried to connect my iPhone by bluetooth according to the manual, but the iPhone does not find anything... so i do think this Range Rover sport is probably delivered without the bluetooth module...

The manual also states that you can put an old type nokia phone in a 'cradle' between the front seats, well, this cradle or dock is not there and i don't see a loose cable.

My wish now is to connect my iPhone 4 to the car, so my question is, can I buy such a cable or dock, but more important, where do I connect it to?

(one more thing... I don't want to buy the aftermarket bluetooth module $500)

many thanks by advance !!!

Sweden 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HST Java Black

Hello Johnkoot.

Sadly, Your car is not equipped with the PTI (Personal Telephone Integration).

It's not an easy operation to put it in afterwards, You c a n, but You will need
looms and a bluetooth module, new steeringwheel controls and a lot more.

So I guess that You will have to install some aftermarket bluetooth, like a
Parrot or some other brand, that has its own cabling and speakers.

Best regards

Oh, i thought when you have the dashboard witj a phone bitton there is a PTI in the car. There is a chance that the previous owner removed the cradle/dock for the old phone, so maybe anyone can tell me where this connection is so i can check, if so, maybe there is a cable to hook the iphone 4 to it....?
