My new (to me) 2010 rrsport last week intermittently started to do show zero on the gauge and fuel light would come on (am getting used to the joys of rr ownership!)
Also once the gearbox fault light flicked up with this (but vanished after a restart). The zero on gauge problem continued on and off for 2 days but seemed to vanish at the end of long journeys.
In view of this I put the car on a drip charger and left it for 6 hours on this, and since then the light has not flicked up (touch wood).
Searching through the forum, although the gearbox fault warning could be secondary to low voltage it looks like the fuel light is a sender problem.
Now the reason for the post is that there are a few scary stories on the forum of cars with sender problems cutting out while driving! Therefore is it worth getting this fault checked even though the light has gone, with all the associated costs of dealer diagnostic plug ins, or in view of the fact that the light has gone off could this just be a low voltage issue and typical electrical gremlins of the sport?

Most likely connectors in the tank are dogy
LR recommends to remove them and crimp the wires
There is a software update to the cluster which may cure it
(ve seen maybe one or two cars where soft actually did the job)
so to get it sorted Tank down
but again its good to have accurate readings
