RRS tdv8 turbo failure

Hi folks, I've got a 2007 RRS tdv8, was driving at the weekend and the jeep just died.
Pulled over and switched it of, started it up and white smoke was commish for the driver side exhaust

Garage has sed that the left side turbo has giving up the ghost!
And it's going to cost around the 4k mark to fix!!
Is there any thing else that could be wrong or is it the turbo?

The car was getting traded in at the end of the month as we'll nightmare
Just looking for some help and advice
Cheers.

Bad luck mattyboyking. Had the car been stood for a few days before this problem? Please let us know how you get on.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

If it's a RHD vehicle, the driver's side is the right hand turbo. Same symptoms as mine. Right hand turbo failed in some way. Mine is being sorted by a LR dealer and they said it's about £2k (£1k for the turbo, £1k for the fitting as it requires the body to be lifted off the chassis. I guess there's some VAT and odds / sods to add to those prices too so perhaps £3k. I'll hopefully find out the total cost in a couple of days when I pick it up. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
