Looked at Stelvio pass over the weekend on t'internet.......Bloody Hell!

That climb =2mpg, Diesel or not!

How many hairpins! I imagine that would be hell in the summer with Tourist traffic!

What about:

Basel - Montreux (Lake of Geneva) - Grand St. Bernard Pass/Tunnel - Torino - Savona - Genova - (along the coast to:) - Naples

The highway between Torino and Savona is crazy (as far as I can remember).
The people that go TO Torino can drive through tunnels, but the people that go to Savona have to go through the valley with a lot of bends.
