Sounds like front of engine. Why not remove grille it only clips on. Might be able to hear it better??

Sounds like something is loose and is rattling due to engine vibration. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

if you open bonnet and look down the front left i.e drivers side you will see aux belt, have a look to if pulley is cock eyed and if it is replace it, very easy to replace mate |
