RRS TDV6 2008 - Squeak or "twittering" engine nois

Hi All,

I have noticed a squeak/twitter/high pitch rattle coming from my engine when started in a morning. The noise subsides after about 90 seconds and is fine then whilst engine remains warm. Doesn't happen on warm start. I have posted video and sound on YouTube. Any ideas what this is??

Any advice welcome. Vehicle has covered 100k miles and runs very well except for this annoying "feature".

Sounds like front of engine. Why not remove grille it only clips on. Might be able to hear it better??

Sounds like something is loose and is rattling due to engine vibration. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

if you open bonnet and look down the front left i.e drivers side you will see aux belt, have a look to if pulley is cock eyed and if it is replace it, very easy to replace mate
