Hey guys my rrs is in for full service and is gonna need new compressor unit fitted , anybody know best place to buy the compressor from and was there ever a upgraded version made ? Thanks

You need the new upgraded AMK compressor from Landrover, the software it will probably need setting up by someone with full Landrover diagnostics. I bought mine from site sponsor Dan @ Duckworths Landrover who beat my local stealer by some way.. Good luck..

LRM this month says that britpart are about to market a new pattern version of the old compressor! Might be worth looking in to. 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers

Thanks for the helpful replys , the guy serviceing my motor got me a price from landrover £450 plus vat for the compressor the upgraded version then just the labour charge to get it fitted and programmed

re the Britpart (Hitachi) compressor that is featured in this months LRM, I wrote to Britpart for quote and a local suppler where I could get one as they dont supply retail.

My local supplier in Leyland said they couldn't supply the new Hitachi compressor Britpart were advertising as it had been supeceded and subsequently quoted for the latest AMK compressor complete with all bits for £451.00 + vat even thought they are a Britpart agent

I did some research and managed to find from various suppliers all the bits that the LRM article suggested would be needed to fit the new Hitachi comp and it was a supprise to find that it would be a more costly option that the AMK.

The article in LRM suggested that the replacement including fitting would be £339.00 all in. Dont be drawn in by this as this is just the cost of the compressor ex VAT

Now looking for an AMK Also Honda CB500 Four K2 (1973)

AMK compressors can be had for a smidge under £500 inc VAT
