2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Galway Green

Lone cable/plug

I found this cable unplugged when I opened the battery cover on my 2008 RRS 4.2V8. It must fit nearby because of its length, but I can't see any open plugs for it. Everything on the car works and there are no warning lights indicating any faults. Any suggestions?

The insulation tape (joint?) made me wonder if this was standard or something someone added later on....... Hmmmmm?
