Fuel Consumption Revisited

My SDV6 HSE has now done 6K miles and seems to have settled down to 34mpg on mixed driving (average speed 34mph) and an amazing 39.5mpg on long (150 mile) journeys using motorways/DCs with journey average speeds of 60mph.

I find this very good compared to my previous Diesel X5s which would only do 26mpg/30mpg in similar usage.

This is the output from the onboard computer but is borne out by the actual usage on filling up. Regards

Malcolm

This is interesting as I've found my mpg computer to be some 10% optimistic on an old style MY13 SDV6 against litres used/mileage. When I checked it with the IIDTool it was factory set at +7% which makes no sense. Shocked

England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I am just coming up to 4000 on mine and I'm getting a pretty consistant 32mpg.

Not done any one off long trips yet, so the above is country lanes, dual carriageway with a little town driving thrown in.

Jim

Buy a Range Rover Sport and worry about the fuel consumption?

Who cares? I am sure all of us on here can afford the fuel if we can afford the car. Surprised Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

With respect, this misses the point. I'm not "worried" about the fuel consumption, just interested in comparing other's experiences with the RRS and against other competitive vehicles.

I will check my next fill-up against the on-board computer and post the result. Regards

Malcolm

I'm getting around 36mpg after 3500 miles. That's 3mpg more than my FL2 after 30,000 miles!

I'm very happy with that, especially with the extra power that the SDV6 gives. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Gone but not forgotten:

2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE in Santorini Black
