Don't need flattened, a good high build plastic primer followed by a bit of careful rubbing down will take the texture out. Sounds strong, I think I spent £70 on paint and materials and did the lot in a day including the grill and boot strip and both bumpers

. So about 8 hrs at £35. So about £325 inc vat plus paint. Should be about half what you were quoted. Only thing you will need is a handful of new clips. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

my sills are next on my list. i'll probably be priming them this weekend, if the weather is nice. should be a very simple task, though i may give them a few extra layers of clear coat and wax because of their proximity to the road Thumbs Up Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

Here's mine before.
I had the front n rear bumpers resprayed but I pulled off the side mouldings for colour coding.
I think I paid just over a $1000 for everything painted but I put the mouldings back on myself as I fitted side steps at the same time.
Bit of a tip, there was a heap of crap behind the mouldings as you can see in the picks and I drilled out the "black clips and purchased new ones while everything was the paint shop.
I started on the tailgate, taking that off. Once you know how much pressure you need to apply for removal your on the way.
It's really easy.
Just take your time when you put everything back on.

That looks amazing. Interested to see the job Tanloverluke does on the cans, I'd follow through it it works well. Does the trim all just pop off? No screws? Seems too easy!
