The "eBay & Bargain Spots" forum

Due to demand this is a new area to post up good deals, bargains or otherwise interesting Range Rover Sport items - vehicles, parts, accessories, etc - spotted on eBay (or other auction/listings sites).

It is NOT to be used to promote your own items or items you have an association with. This includes, but is not limited to, items listed by friends or family members.

You may list items completely free of charge in the For Sale & Wanted area - why pay eBay's fees and then post a link back?

Please post eBay items as links to the items, not item numbers These links MUST be the full eBay link, and not shortened or hidden via a URL shortening service.

It is not NOT to be used by traders - this forum is still covered by the Commercial Posting Rules

Anybody abusing this section will find their kidneys listed on eBay Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

If you already had some, didn't need any but came across them, surely you would let your fellow RRSers know ? Proud owner of a 2008 TDV8 HSE.....and an Audi A3 2.0T DSG Cab and a Porsche 911 Turbo (Mercedes W208 320 CLK and Mercedes W124 E220 Estate now gone)

Or you find yourself a lovely bargain on eBay then someone with the best intentions tells potentially 100's of other people about it? Had this happen a couple of times on a Lotus forum, was a bit frustrating to be honest. Just my penny's worth

Can I ask a question about this?

I just put something RRS related on eBay, I am not sure what it is worth so I cant name a price and so I cant put it in the "for sale" room, hence I put it for auction to suck it and see.

But as I read it, the rules here prevent me from saying "Hey guys, I just put X on eBay, here is a link in case anyone is interested". That seems a bit backward as chaps here might be interested in what I am selling, but the rules prevent me from telling them about it? And forums are about sharing info, etc......

Can someone clarify/advise?

You must have some idea what it is worth. Just take a look at what other items are selling for, similar to yours, and put it in the for sale section. You can mention its also advertised on ebay, but as you say, NOT post a link to your own advert. A plus point to advertising on here, its free with no fees but a small donation to the site is always a good gesture.

Stuart - a look at the FS&W rules gives ideas of how to research prices (i.e. look at sold items, or ask!), and if you really, really don't know then you ask drop me a PM and ask for an exemption.

I assume you've started your auction on eBay for 99p then if you have absolutely no idea of its value? Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!
