Yes everything else works including the lock and unlock switches on the dash board,,,, drove car for a couple of hrs but still no joy it just seems like the car doesn't want to acknowledge the fobs in any way |

Ok,have you checked the fuse for the RF receiver and have you tried a hard reset on the car? |

Not sure what a hard reset is ??? Will check fuse now as didn't think there was 1

The alarm antenna is in the roof lining in the centre if i remember correctly, the wires run to the side of the car and down the front screen pillar.

It will more than likely be the splice joint corroded under the front passenger door sill that will have gone, its a known fault when both key fobs stop working.
