Ok, I've been lurking the forum for the last week or so as I'm in the market for a sport.

After reading some of the threads on here I've now changed my mind to go the V8 route;

I've seen one and I'm in the later stages of the deal.

Coming from owning several BMW's - I've used their Vehicle Specification & Service History Check Line many times and found it very useful. Does Land Rover have anything similar?

Welcome, yes they do, it's called the Local Dealer....... Shame but true, there is no such system as BMW or indeed Porsche have.
Make sure the service book is stamped, service every year or 15000 miles, which ever comes first, a missing service excludes your car from being covered by most warrantee companies at payout. LR won't even give you one. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜
