Hi

I have a 2005 Sport 2.7TDV6 When I put the sport into access mode it lowers then raises to the normal height. I have just paid out for a New compressor to be fitted.

I tried it again but this time with giving it some gas and it seem to go down quickly and stayed in the access mode.

Is this normal on the 2.7's as the last 3.6's I had I just had to press the button with no acceleration and it would just drop down.

Any ideas ?

Dropping the vehicle only requires air to be vented from each strut by way of the corner valves. The compressor is a red herring I think. Could be a corrupt suspension calibration or just a height sensor that is on its way out. You need to have the fault codes read for a start. This might point you in the correct direction. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I do get a message that comes up says " check for any obstruction and try again" when I try to drop the vehicle in Access mode.
