Another Warranty Question

I am very close to taking the plunge on a TDV8 but am still slightly optimistic with all the issues and problems which occur. Am I right in presuming that as long as I have a Warranty in place, be it say Warranty Direct or Land Rover Warranty, any issues and I'm covered?

Cheers

I've been researching this myself, and it seems pretty hit and miss. Some people have been paid out no issue, some have been fobbed off with wear and tear claims.

I am going to go with warranty direct after I haggle down their initial price of £867 per year, but will try and get certain scenarios of failure confirmed in writing before hand that I am covered.

Really depends on which LR product you are buying. Not sure what they call it now but what used to be LR approved warranty is definitely better than WD in my experience. But be wary of the lower grade LR select warranty (but might be called something different now) which it is generally agreed is not as good as WD. Thumbs Up

Warranty Direct have some pretty bold statements suggesting anything goes! Albeit depending on age and mileage depends on how much you contribute, but looks good to be fair!

Another point is that you don't actually get a 12 month warranty, more a 9 month due to the first 90 days not being covered. I understand the reason why, but bit of a con in some ways!

They have very pushy sales staff, always smells a rat wit anyone pressing a sale. If its that good it sells itself.

I have warranty, but like insurance I hope to never ever need use it!
