Notification of New Message

When I receive a new PM, I get a yellow envelope, but thats the only way I know I have an unread message. I I have the settings ticked to notify me of new message, but where does this notification show?

I thought perhaps something may show next to the 'PMs' on the main tab bar

Usually get an email saying you have PM or answer on a thread. I can't remember seeing any other notification. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

I have these settings and because of "1" I get email notifications of PMs. Check your spam folder if you have this on but still not getting emails. Because of "2" I get a popup window at logon if there is a new PM. Check popups are not disabled in your browser if you don't get this despite having it set.
