United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Firenze Red
Wheel Cleaning / Red Brembo Brake Calipers

Hi all, My old sports going this week and I will collect my new one this week.

I tend to clean my wheels every few weeks but i am a bit worried that the cleaners I use (Valet Pro and Autoglym) will damage the red brake calipers on the new one.

What products do you use ? and any tips or tricks

Thanks

I rarely use anything on my wheels apart from car shampoo ...... on the odd occasion i'll use very heavily diluted Bilberry.. which IMO is the best wheel product you can use...
Ultimately they are all damaging.... a quick rinse every week between cleans you really should be able to stay on top of them without products....
I use a little localised tar remover for the heavier spots.....

BTW... don't worry about the enamel on the front calipers anyway...it's pretty much bullett proof.... but the rears , a lot of people have been having problems with...... read this

The Daytona wheel brush is the best on the market by far... reaches well into the rim....full heavy plastic covering on the stem and very flexible.... I use it with a little dodo juice shampoo on my red Porsche Brembo calipers and it brings them up perfectly....and i'll do exactly the same on my new RRS ... if they ever decide they want to give me a build slot !! As above. Just warm car shampoo on a weekly basis.

Dodo Juice Mellow Yellow wheel cleaner seems to work well.
