Terraclean?

I'm buying Millars for the tank and running premium. But I'm 110k on the clock now and want peace of mind that I'm looking after my engine, I've it booked in for fluids - gearbox, oil etc. But looking into the Terraclean system, its available here in N.Ireland and they travel out to me which is great, but it seems new and strange.

I'd like to see what you all reckon about this process? Will it cause issues or will it be for the best to get it done?
I'm not concerned about the mpg as much as I am about the ongoing running of the engine and parts.

I press the throttle and in first gear it takes a while to catch - if you press the foot down its okay, but I mean just normal acceleration is a bit so-so for a v8.

Interested to hear what you guys think off it?

The acceleration could be tired gearbox oil. Might be worth getting it changed. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Funny you say that about the gearbox oil - I'd just posted about that. I dont think its slow, but its response can take a second or two before the thing actually agrees to what your foot done.

I'll look into that. Thanks!

had mine done, when he fired the engine up afterwards the whole garage was covered in black soot, just goes to show how much gets deposited inside the engine. Better MPG (1-2mpg) , smoother ride but can't tell if any power difference as mines a S/C. Garage swears by it and says needs doing every year or two

going to see if I can get my gearbox flushed too  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !

Mine is the same - it feels as though there is a long pause between request with the right foot and a response. My gearbox is due to be flushed on Friday so I'll let you know whether it makes a difference.

The other possibility is EGG valve being slow to close. This would mean the engine can't produce the required power until the cable is fully closed. Not sure if they fail that way though. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I've tried twice to get the guys here in N.I. They don't respond to emails, but I'll drop them a line on saturday. Please update me with how you get on with it and what you paid. I'm expecting around £100 to get it, I've been adding millars since I joined this forum and its increased the performance in mpg and feels a little better (most likely in my mind) but the terraclean seems to be even better from the testimonials.

Though waiting to hear more from TDV8 owners -especially Stornoway grey ones Thumbs Up

thinking of getting mine done, have you noticed much difference in the drive of the car, my car seems to hesitate for a second when you press the loud pedal

Just thought I would post a couple of pictures to show that carbon build on modern direct injection engines is something to be concerned about before and after clean

Awesome pics, I'm getting my gearbox flush done this month, its looking about £500 so I'll get this one done right after. I've been firing in millars additive to it for now, but these pics looks squeaky clean!
