When I finally found a RRS with the right engine, colour, interior and price, I bought it, unfortunately it didn't have satnav, a genuine unit was out of the question and I hate stuff stuck on the dash that's untidy so I set about making my own to fit in the dash. The satnav ($127), reverse camera($80) and all the bits and pieces(about $100) were sourced from ebay. The unit wouldn't fit in the dash so I pulled it apart, through away the silver bezel, cut and plastic welded the back cover and tilted it on an angle so the power sockets etc were more accessible rather than coming out the side. Linished some of the plastic off the screen to make it a good snug fit, made the on/off switch remote so it could be hidden under the rubber dash mat then using a hot glue gun put it all back together. Then I got hold of some carbon fibre contact and covered all the ugly mess leaving a flap so the unit could be easily removed.

Hey John, you are not the SM John in Toot are you? Beautiful water and beaches there, we loved living on the Peninsula until life brought us to WA.

Great to see you on here John. I bought my first boat from you (green Savage Envoy) which you delivered to Rye. Then I bought the Caribbean 26. I then moved over here for work and I now have another new Savage Beachcomber (big boat not getting enough use). We still miss that little green Envoy, we had so much fun on that boat.

Thanks BKHK, if I remember correctly you control air space, and that little Savage Envoy still comes in once a year for servicing. |

Ah yes, your old Disco with the extractors?, used to have quite a rumble if I remember! Maybe you will do the same to your RRS.

Yeah the old Disco sounds great. It turns a few heads, but a Disco isn't what people expect to see when they turn around. Not going to do that to the Sport, it sound plenty good enough without making it louder. The only other mod the Sport has had is a Blackvue camera.
