Side Steps advise please

SIDE STEPS.
hi i am looking to add side steps to my range rover sport 05. Lots out there to choose from so I am asking you savvy lot for help, from range rover price ouch, plenty on ebay ranging from £120 upwards. my question is
Aluminum or mild steel with plastic or rubber treads. Any advise or recommends welcome!

Hi,

I did mine on sunday, got them from Direct 4x4 in Derby.

I would suggest that before you try and fit them, you get yourself a dozen or more of the trim clips DYC101420, the old ones are brittle and loads snapped when I was putting the new sill trim cover back on.

Do a search on YouTube and you will find videos on how to fit them by a company called Powerful UK. I watched the whole video once, then I watched it again, paused it, worked on the car, then carried on watching it etc until I had finished.

If anyone knows where to get the aluminium strip down the side of the side step, for a resaonable price (seen them on ebay for 100!!)please let me know...as one of mine fell off whilst driving the other day :O

Sometimes you see just one side step for sale on ebay for not a great deal. Worth a look..........

You can buy a whole new side step for £85 from Direct 4x4 in Derby.

Undo the 6 bolts, pull the old step off then fit your new one, do up 6 bolts and your done !! 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)
