So where’s the “Test Card Girl” ?

I seem to remember hearing this discussed some years ago. Can’t quite remember where, or what the outcome was & curiosity is now getting the better of me. (Yes I know I have too much time on my hands)

Anyway, remember the BBC test card, that had a girl & a dog (I think) on it ?? This would be back in the seventies / early eighties, before 24hr TV was the norm.

Well what ever happened to that girl ? Did she become a celebrity, an actress, a high powered business guru, a fashion model, or did she just disappear into oblivion.

Or even more interesting did she become a porn star like the girl on “Little house on the Prairie” ? Shocked (never did manage to see one of her movies though Sad )

I remember that all that was on TV during the day was that test card, while you waited for such TV gems as……….

The Bearcats
Sierra
Six Million Dollar Man
The Bionic Woman
Wonder Woman (mmmmm)
The Man from Atlantis
Gemini Man
The Invisible Man
Baa Baa Black Sheep
Chopper Squad
Alias Smith and Jones
The Incredible Hulk
Cannonball

Mc Cloud
Mannix
Ironsides
Ellery Queen
Rockford Files
Mission Impossible
Banacheck (sp ?)

Then a little later in the years

Magnum PI (now on Men & Motors again)
Simon and Simon
Miami Vice (sometimes on Men & Motors)
Mac Gyver
Knight Rider

Oh….now look what I’ve done……..I’m getting all nostalgic for those great TV shows that I loved so much. There’s just such rubbish on TV these days. What I’d give for Sky to launch a channel dedicated to all those great shows, from the 70’s & 80’s. Instead of just getting snippets on Men & Motors every so often. Although, they do seem to be running through the Magnum series at the moment. Very Happy

Oh yeah.......vague memories...... Confused

Of course there was......

The Magic Roundabout
Noddy.
Wanderly Wagon (although I think that was here in Ireland only)

Although we have delved into the realms of children’s TV now. Whereas the shows I remember the most & hold the more special memories are more the “adventure / detective / action / Sci-Fi” shows.

Of course, none of this helps solve the dilemma of ……..”Where’s the Test Card Girl” ??
