The FBH and the factory fitted wire that doesn't exist...

Hiya,

Hope someone might have an answer...

I've got cavity 2 (W-Bus) on the FBH connector C0925 already populated with a red cable. "Ah ha, connected to the OBD port", I thought. But after checking the OBD loom properly I found there was no wire in cavity 7 (the red wire I found was from the ABS module running to cavity 9 - a bad assumption on my part).

After some digging I found that some of the early models (my RRS is a 2006 model built in July 2005) had cavity 2 wired to enable a timer operation function through the touch screen (long since removed from the system code as it didn't work properly).

So I'm hoping this wire might already come through the bulkhead into the internal wiring looms where I could cut it and run a short(er) link to the OBD port.

I decided to pay the price to grab 24 hours on TOPIx for my car's VIN as the "free" diagrams that can be found on the web are for LHD and later much VINs. However, the TOPIx FBH wiring diagram supposedly for my VIN doesn't show anything connected to C0925 cavity 2.

So I went to have a look at the Reference Library for connector C0925 for the FBH which also doesn't show cavity 2 populated only 4, 5 and 7.

But wait a minute, looking closer at the picture on the C0925 sheet it shows a red cable in cavity 2.

So does anyone know where this cable goes? Did they stop installing these wires before they wrote up all the technical documentation hence the lack of information?

Thanks in advance.

'tang.
