United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Stornoway Grey
Road Angel Gem causing poor DAB and FM reception

I changed my old model Road Angel for a later type Road Angel Gem a few months ago.
At approximately the same time I started to experienced poor DAB & FM radio reception and so booked the RRS into the local dealer for investigation/repair. They checked head unit connections but couldn't find anything wrong. The problem continued so it was booked in again for amp/aerial or even head unit exchange. Following a long period of component exchange which didn't result in an improved signal strength they finally discovered that the cause of the poor signal was the Road Angel.
Once the Road Angel power lead was disconnected, full signal strength returned to the radio.
I then spoke to Road Angel who knew of the problem and confirmed they would send out a DAB adapter which apparently will resolve the issue. Evil or Very Mad
Just wish I'd known months ago! Mad
So if you are looking to use a Road Angel Gem in a Range Rover then beware you may have problems especially with the DAB radio signal strength. RRS TDV8 MY2010 Stornoway Grey
