Yes they did, obviously one of the first. There is a member on here that had one and it was registered that early, it even qualified for the cheaper tax bracket. Shocked

Tommo, is it from a main L/R dealer and does it come with a warranty? A warranty is a MUST with these vehicles.

3.6 is turbo diesel, 4.2 is supercharged petrol.

Which one is right for you will depend on your mileage really. I'm not doing many miles so I've gone for the petrol.

Both will be able to get rid of fuel at a fair rate but the diesel will get a higher MPG. I'm getting 15 in my supercharged.

The difference between the 4.2 and the TDV8 will simply come down to how much of a petrolhead you are; I would class myself as one (I've owned eight AMG's) but as my RRS is the main 'family' vehicle and the wife drives it probably two thirds of the time, I couldn't justify the 15mpg that comes with the S/C. I get around 25 mpg combined in my TDV8.

I find the power in my TDV8 more than ample to shift it's considerable bulk, the torque suits the RRS well.

Ouch 15mpg , I would say im a little bit of a petrol head ( manly gtv's . But my car at the mo z4 3ltr) but 15mpg is a bit harsh ,but as I have another car in the household would i really notice the extra that the 4.2 gives ?

I keep flirting with buying a Mercedes ML 63 AMG, but because of the reasons above, I simply couldn't justify owning a 525bhp 4x4 that will be in single figure mpg when driven around town.

If petrol was cheaper, I'd have a stinking V8 petrol in the blink of an eye, but it's not so I don't!
