RRS / Overfinch questions

I am looking at getting a Range Rover, preferably an Overfinch. Unfamiliar to the various models, I have seen Overfinch models considerably cheaper than other, and I am guessing the cheaper ones are just RRS with bodykit!

My questions are these:

1. Aside from the body kit, is it the engine which is the main difference between the RRS and Overfinch?
2. Which engine is recommended? 2.7, 3.0, 3.6?

Really, I am not overly interested in outright performance, but want a RRS, preferably looking like the Overfinch or similar - something looking a little unique.

I'd appreciate your thoughts

Overfinch used to be an old fashioned throw-a-big-block-in kind of tuner but since being taken over now essentially sell wheels/bodykits/interiors.

I've owned a 2.7 TDV6 and now own a 3.6 TDV8, the difference is quite literally night and day; my TDV8 has about 80bhp more yet returns as good, if not better, mpg.

What mpg do you get and the road tax?

I've just done 300 mile in it today and averaged 28.9mpg (and I don't hang about... Wink )

Mine has 22" Overfinch alloys on too, so I'd hazard a guess that old man 19" wheels will be even better for the fuel consumption.

Road tax is £490 for the year last time I looked. The 2.7 is the same tax bracket.

Thanks for the replies - just looked at yours for sale and does look very good. (I'm not in the market until the wife has sold her car)

Whats the difference between the 3.0 and 3.6? economy, performance, running costs

I can't help you with the costs etc of the 3.0, although I'm sure that someone will be along soon to fill you in... Thumbs Up
