can you re-calibrate MPG reading. it reads LOW!

Hi,

usually expect an average mpg reading to read HIGH and make you feel better Rolling Eyes

but

have now done three fills to tank full and worked the MPG out on what has actually been used and the average fuel reading is nearly 20% out reading to low Shocked is there anyway to reset the something Question

first fill computer said 21.7 over 400 miles real figure was 25.7
second fill computer said 22.6 over 748 miles real figure 26.2
third fill coming back from a weekend in Edinburgh computer 26.2 did 250 miles filled back up and 30.2

I am happy with fuel consumption Smile but would rather the reading be right or even better over read then I can kid myself that it really is economical Whistle

Thumbs Up

It can be adjusted in the vehicle ccf using faultmate , not sure if an IID tool can do it or not , there is a post on the disco3 forum about this Thumbs Up

Hi,
have checked the options in the screen settings and I don't have the option of US mpg Confused

can have MPG or KM/l or another one Embarassed think it was per 100km or something, either way it was set on the MPG
although did the conversion to US and that would have got the figure very near my actual Question

so it may have to wait till the car needs something else looking at before being checked any further Rolling Eyes

at least I can think I am getting 30mpg all the time Very Happy

Thumbs Up

It can be done on the later (2010>on MY's) cars, but didn't think it could be done on the early ones. There is no option to adjust the consumption figures on the Faultmate for D3's...
