From the brochure I can see these 13 shades - but I think there is an extra sneaky one (Dont want to buy the wrong sport thinking its a stornoway and its not.

The one in the Autotrader ad is Stornoway. The other grey is Orkney which is a post-facelift colour I believe. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

the earlier colour was Bonatti grey which left production around the 56 plate, then went onto Stornaway grey (bit lighter)

The newer one is Orkney. I believe it was introduced in 2011 after the Japanese tsunami which discontinued quite a few colours including Stornoway Grey. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

Thanks I'd viewed this car last night and loved it. It has all I'd wanted inside but the colour is my only niggle. I love the black but my wife hates it's dealer look. So I'd wanted a dark gun metal grey but this looks a little light in the pic. I'm wanting to do a two tone top so either a wrapped black matte or a gloss white roof but the light grey might look wrong against that shade. It's all subjective to personal choice but I'd wanted the darker grey. Do you think this is the wrong shade I've in mind? |

My idea is to create the following look either matte black or white roof. The trim coded and a light and grill upgrade, I hate to bling anything too tacky, this is flying close to the sun, but they look clever to me and stop the thing looking too reserved I know we all have personal views, I'd preferred the older darker shade then if that is the case. But this will work I think. Might have been the sun on the photo made it lighter.

I had the dealer send me another shot today it's stornoway grey. The sun made it look lots lighter. It's a 2007 so guessing the nicer bonati grey is gone by this point. Shame as I liked the darker. |
