[For Sale] Decat Pipe for RRS

For sale is a decat pipe to suit a RRS

Brand new, never got around to fitting it

Made from 409 grade stainless steel this down pipe for the TDV6 removes the restriction of the original CAT.

The catalytic converters fitted to most modern vehicles are a known cause of restriction to the flow of exhaust gasses known to cause turbo lag. Removing the CAT can increase power and reduce lag from the turbo by allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently. In some cases removing the catalytic converters can improve fuel economy. Bolts directly in to the existing system.

£90 collected or +£15 for courier p&p (or if can be arranged by D3 network?)

Thanks

Ade

Not fitted it myself obviously, but would of fitted it DIY after looking at the guide below

Hope that helps

Thanks

okay guys, this is quite a simple fitting

first you have 3 15mm nuts which you pre apply copious amounts of free off spray to allow safe removal with no nasty broken studs!!

you can see this is tight on room, but 1/2" drive with universial and fixed HEX sockets and a speed bar to loosen and then out the inboards come.

the outboard one, you can loosen and then from the wheel arch you can with a 15mm ring spanner remove it with no real problem.

this then moves on to the rear box joint which is imperial in socket size on the clamp.

this is undone fully to allow a figure of 8 wiggle to be setup between the pipes across the joint to ease off the joint and allow the pipe to slide out. as shown

this then allows us to now move on to the hanger that is all that is left keeping the front cat pipework attached to the car.

NOW!!!! you have 2 options

you can remove the main rear gearbox chassis member to release the old front CAT pipe from the car,

OR

you can cut the pipe behind the CAT to drop out the 2 parts!!

the new one fits into the car with the chassis member in place so depends if you want to keep the old CAT pipe for nostalga!! Thumbs Up

refitting is a case of copperslip the studs on the turbo, fit new gasket, and mount the new front pipe flange and fit the 3 15mm nuts and tighten.

then wiggle it into the rear system pipework and tighten the clamp, refit the front hanger,

slide from under the car and breath a sigh of relief!!!!

Tidy up, and wash up, go for a non restricted drive and even more power released

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

As long as the emissions are ok it will, but cut the old cat housing off your old one and weld it into place as the cat is now a visible check item on the mot
