I am now in the position to able to buy a Rolex, been umming and ahhhing should i souldn't i.

I have been looking at the Rolex daytona everose, would like some info regarding Rolex's as i am aware that a few people have a lot of interest in watches on the forum.

Where to buy, main dealer or some where else. Is a discount available from the Rolex dealer, if possible people could put up pics of there rolex.

I have a fairly basic Datejust with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. (will post a pic later)
Bought it just over 10 years ago and managed to secure a 10% discount via Mappin & Webb in Regent St.

I could be wrong, but something as desirable as a Daytona Everose may not receive a discount as they are in fairly limited supply.

After a thorough research, i´ve bought last week at Schiphol airport an Oyster Perpetual Date 34 mm with 20% discount for my wife to celebrate the born of our first born.

Schiphol airport 20% discount, no questions asked.
Madrid airport T4 21% discount (tax free), need to show flight ticket out of EU (plus another 10% for aircrew!!!).
Barcelona Spain 15% discount.
Gasan Amsterdam 12% discount.
Florence Italy Rolex 13% discount.
Dubai, Mexico and USA (FL, NY, CA) more expensive than EU.

Rolex dealers out of the airport will give more discount after negotiation, especially if you buy more than one.

So start to look for 20% discount and more is just an extra bonus..

Great choice! However I have the same strap (polished centre links) which is very prone to scratching, especially the side that touches surfaces such as table tops/desks whilst sitting at them.
