After 12 months on the waiting list my car has finally been delivered to the dealers.
Only trouble is it has the wrong interior

Has anyone else had a similar experience and if so what are my options now?

Oh dear! I get you're really off now! What interior has it arrived with? I'd reject the car, but demand you keep the current one until the replacement arrives! Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

It's Nara bronze with Espresso/Almond interior, although it isn't, it's got what looks like full ivory interior and I specifically said I did not want a light interior as I have a (usually) muddy golden retriever and 2 mucky kids. 2014 Nara Bronze SDV6

At least the interior choice works well with the exterior. But as you say, it's not practical for you. If you're not 100% happy I would still reject it. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

Yuo... i had the exact same experience when my LHD MY12 was delivered ....after an 8 month wait

It was supposed to have Ebony with a white stitch and it arrived Ebony...no white stitch.....

I simply said I would not accept the Ebony leather.......No problem was the answer.....

The correct seats covers were ordered and then subsequently perfectly fitted by specialist trimmers..... and upon delivery which

was delayed by four or so weeks ... everything was perfect.....

I declined an available car at the time of ordering for simply not having heated seats and waited 8 months for my own spec car.... so an additional month for no compromise for me was a no brainer..

Had I been UK based and not needed LHD I may have demanded a courtesy car.....

Very sad this is still happening at the factory. I ordered my L405 3.0L Vogue in Nov 12 with Santorini & Ebony interior. It arrived in May 13 with Ivory interior!! Suffice to say I wasn't best pleased with such a pale interior - especially as my reason for buying a RR (and selling my Aston) was because of a new rugrat!

I was happy with the resolution though. I kept the RR and was put first on the list for a Sport. I took delivery of my Sport in Oct 13 with a bit of a discount and the agreement was that LR would give me back what I paid for the RR. Therefore 5 months of free motoring in a new RR and a discount on a Sport was a bit of a no-brainer for me - equally for LR, they new they'd be able to sell my RR in no time too.

I hope you have some luck in resolving the situation. I think the best option would be ask what they are going to do about it rather than go ranting and raving. Demand is still such that they could easily just cancel the delivery, say goodbye to you as a customer and still sell the car for list. SOLD - 15 plate Estoril SVR

To cut a long story short I rejected it under Sale of Goods Act, dealer swapped interior with a demo (against my wishes) damaging it then replaced with new vehicle I ordered - I had insisted on written confirmation they would replace if they caused any damage so they had to honour it or they would have tried repairing damage
