RRS buying help please

Hi all

i have been looking to purchase a rrs for sometime I have used the site to research as much as possible and the information that I have found out has been brilliant. I originally was looking at something like a 57 plate tdv8 however I'm trying to stretch myself to a 10 plate with the new dash etc. I'm starting to find it hard to find any info so was wondering what I should be looking for when purchasing one etc (I did try the search area but struggled :0). I hoping to look at a 10 plate hse tdv6 this week at a local garage. I couldn't find a list of optional extras on the hse so wasn't sure if I did go for it if I would be getting a good deal. Or even if this was a good idea what do you all think ???

Any info would be brilliant thanks

Jonny

Hi Jonny,
It's really about condition, miles, service history, specification and price. A well looked after rrs can be a good investment but there are poorly maintained examples around that could be a financial liability. The HSE spec is pretty good and there additional options including TV, rear DVD, surround cameras, sunroof and heated steering wheel. All are nice to have depending on what takes your fancy.

The MY2010 interior is a step up from the previous version but you do pay a lot for it. Resale value should reflect this though. I opted for a 2010 TDV8 after a long time searching, just waiting for DVLA to get their finger out before I can collect it.

I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know and I am sure that you will get input form some other forum members but these really are fantastic cars.

We too decided to look at the upgraded my2010 and managed to get a my2011 with 23000 miles full service history, tv, fridge ,tinted glass side steps mud flaps. One of the most important things get a good long warranty, we got 1yr. Look at few to compare don't buy first one . good luck mate.
