Wife hit a metal gate while driving through an enterance. The rear wheel arch has been scraped and there are minor dents and scrapes along the edge of the rear door too. See pics in my gallery at http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=88

Ouch! Sorry to see that, mpwox11! It's doesn't look *too* bad from the photos, hopefully the ChipsAway bloke will be able to sort it for you.

I'm sure that your good lady was mortified................... hope you didn't shout but managed to bite your tongue. Maybe a couple of weeks with a push bike, then a Smart car rather than a mini, might be suitable recompense! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Ouch , I know how you must be feeling. I remeber picking up one of my new Audis ( 2.7 bi turbo avant A6 ) not had it long when my wife reveresd into/onto small building housing a gas metre that had a steal lid on it... believe me it made a mess . Then there was her TT and its my turn - pulling out of parent drive & a cyclist on the pavement went straight into the wing and over the bonnet ......... not my fault .. but I was at the wheel. Unbelievably having just got it repaired at local body/paint shop ( week later ) the same thing happened again different cyclist & this time my wife was driving so I made her eat humble pie Took it back to the repairer & boy did they find it funny

Had the ChipsAway guy over this morning to look at my wifes handy work on the rear wheel arch. Has quoted £125+VAT to respray the wheel arch lip. He's doing it at the end of the week, so I'll let you know the outcome. Matt

If you can post a pic or two of his work that would be helpful to the masses.

The local ChipsAway guy has resprayed the rear wheal arch today. Made a very good job off it. He was here about 3.5 hours. He rubbed down the rear wheel arch edge, primed it , painted it and blended it into the rest of the wing. Did it outside on our drive and erected a large canopy and which we parked the car under.
