Warranty Cover for UK & France

Does anyone know if either LR Extended Warranty or Warranty Direct covers repair if you break down abroad? My previous Merc warranty covered me anywhere in Europe with lifetime free breakdown provided I had an annual main dealer service a year.

You will need to contact individual companies to check. My three year original guarantee covered car anywhere but not so sure extended one does but have thrown cover booklet out. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Thanks when my dealer warranty runs out later this year and I start to compare LR Warranty versus Warranty Direct I will ask the question. I must admit after reading all your woes it seems warranty extension is a necessary evil with these cars. A shame as I travel a lot in France and I will always have the worry about breakdown. Whereas, with my Merc and even my 2012 FL2 I was pretty confident this was not going to happen.

Don't be spooked, majoring on problems and bad reports is the nature of any 'Forum'.

Been to France etc with mine and no problems.

If its OK in the UK it'll be fine overseas; its pretty rare that they stop completely mid-trip. Check the battery and charging system is fine as these are one of the most common issues that'll stop it starting and/or cause weird electrical issues.

A cheap (<£10) digital voltmeter stuck in the cigar lighter socket for a few days will tell you what the battery voltage is before start-up and when under-way and charging.

According to:
https://landrover-extendedwarranty-extend-...ummary.pdf

LR extended warranty (Approved and Select) covers UK and Europe.

LR Assistance (additional cost on the warranty) covers UK and Mainland Europe. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If the car is left unused for more than a week I plug a conditioning battery charger in to the aux towing socket to ensure car is always charged.
