just been told that my dealer (in essex) that my order is now delayed even further, was expecting it in April but now have no ETA. I ordered back in August am really disappointed!

any one got any suggestions on how I can get a delivery earlier?

The dealer said that LandRover have not released any deliveries for April and have cut down production for some reason.

Which dealer and like Baco says, what's the reason.
I'm sure a hunt around some other dealers would get you one quicker. I saw a recent post where someone ordered 2 weeks ago and it getting an early May delivery  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Ordering is indeed a bit weird at Land Rover with their build slots. If you're lucky to have a dealer who has one available at an earlier time opposed to another dealer then, well, you're lucky. It's not first come, first served

I have no clue how they do it with overseas orders, since these go from dealer to country hq to Land Rover, I assume.

I believe it all has to do with how many allocations your dealer has. The bigger the dealer, the more allocations.

I ordered mine end of january, with delivery end of april

I sympathise, I ordered in August, no date, going to the dealer on Thursday to see the car which could have been mine but for the fact I plan to order InControl which is holding everything up.

There will of course come a point where I will wait for a MY2015 car instead. Mark

What spec did you order?

I've just cancelled my order because I managed to get a car from another dealer, it was picked up on Saturday and is now at the body shop before it gets delivered to me on Friday. However, before I cancelled my order I was shown that I had a build date of mid May with delivery in June, I had only ordered at the beginning of Jan this year, so not too bad. However I got tired of waiting and needed a car ASAP, so went for one that was 90% of what I would have ordered but available immediately.

My dealer is still quoting June/July (to be on the safe side).
