That is certainly not true for my 2012 but not sure if anything changed after that. My dealer told me it could not be done so I wouldn't take their word for it. I suggest you speak to Nick in the after sales department at Yeovil Landrover. He knows his stuff and is very helpful. Good luck . MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

The dealer won't offer it as they are allegedly embargoed by JLR. It appears it would be a lot cheaper to not spec either of the park heater (FBH) options and then retro fit and activate via the screen, but clearly JLR saw that and thought they'd lose revenues. Shame, as the FBH is there as standard and it's just a few compnants and a bit of programming - a greedy attitude ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

As MW said I have done it on my 2013 RRS. Dealer told me they won't do it but I can get it done elsewhere which was fair enough as I saved £££s doing it myself using all genuine parts and following advice from rigsby and others in their threads See the link MW provided for details.

Depends on the dealer and your relationship with them I guess. When I was in the process of buying the car my dealer told me they don't do it However, anyone with a multi-VIN Autologic or IIDTool etc. can activate it so you don't strictly need a dealer for this. I used my IIDTool to enable it but it is locked to my car only. Great tool btw - in addition to enabling remote park heating I have used it to put the car in TTM before alignment. Can be used to prime and test FBH, set your lights to DRL mode (I wasn't bothered), adjust suspension height for normal/off road/access modes (not my thing as I think standard is best) and has many other uses. |

There is a TS Bulleting out for the park heating, mine has just had it done when it was in for service. (excess smoke) Never noticed, but then again, i don't see any smoke coming from my park heating. Toasty warm garage. |

Sorry I think I might have misunderstood your question muddy - I only asked the dealer about the whole package (parts and activation) and they refused. Never asked about just activation.

Mine also had the Q363 done at the same time. I'm sure they told me it was another radio software upgrade. |

The dealer system (SDD) cannot activate park/remote heating. It needs to be done with an aftermarket diagnostic machine |
