Roof rails / racks to the new RRS?

Hi all, has anyone been able to find roof rails / racks to the new RRS? I've been checking with Thule, and they have none. All I've been able to find is the RR originals, and they are EXPENSIVE.

Can't believe it's this hard to find for an activity vehicle like this. Has anyone of you been more successful?

Regards
kristian

No, had to buy the rails and bars from the dealer. The bars are the hardest to fit that I have ever had!

They are a complete nightmare. I had mine fitted (for a topbox) by the dealer so it proved a comedy of errors trying to get them off without any instructions. Fiddly and not at all obvious and a joke compared to the Mercedes system.

Topbox makes a complete racket too!

I forgot including the roof rails in my configuration. I was thinking about getting them from the aftermarket and fit them myself. Considering that I'm not particularly good as handyman (I've had in the past difficulties with some IKEA furniture Embarassed ), would you then recommend that I ask somebody to fit them?

Is it necessary to fit the racks at the same time? I may not need them until the next ski season (this year is over, I broke a bone on my shoulder... Sad ) and would prefer to fit only the roof rails at this stage and wait for the racks until I need them by the end of the year.

Any advice is welcome. Bow down

Cheers

I dare say it would be easy with practice (and instructions). I'd get the dealer to fit them but make sure they show you how to do it at the same time!
