Re the Rugby World cup = we had some awsome players in that squad - but there are some new players to the team now that I think ..... given a chance.... will perform even better and the best part is ............. they are a lot younger & thus have time on their side. Long way to go yet though.................................. but.... Come on ENGLAND

So we'll blunder our way to Semi's, only to get tonked by quality opposition.

We took Owen who was at best 70% fit. Defoe just slots straight into the Owen position - madness not to take him. I doubt the kid Walcott will see a game. Lennon has played well. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Agree VA. I feel sorry for Lennon because despite Beckhams goal,I think Lennon would have terrorised the Ecuador defence and got in behind them to cross for Rooney, Gerrard or for Lampard to sky the ball from 3 yards out! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award
