I had the same mate. He did stamp the book but it's always niggling in the back of my mind- did he didn't he. |

No it wasn't a LR dealer have already asked for paperwork for work done but haven't received yet book stamped and worded timing belt done ; butiI'm not sure it has been |

If in any doubts, have it replaced. It's not an expensive job, in the grand scheme of Range Rover ownership.

Understand what you're saying mikey but I bought the car on the reassurance he would do the belts so if the belts fail surely I have a case if the dealer has stamped the book and wrote the words timing belts done |

Personally, I replace the front belt, tensioner and both idlers, rear belt and tensioner, and the aux belt

I don't use genuine parts, I use OEM Dayco kits. Same parts, in a different box, without "Land Rover Tax" added.

DiscoMickey - I guess you should do a deal with a local hotel /B&B and members can have a break in Scotland while booking you to change belts. |

There is a nice Travellodge place a 5 minute walk from the house. Good food too |
